Annchor

About

A gentler way to return to what matters.

You start the day with a plan. By 11am you're seven tabs deep into something else. You catch yourself. You feel bad about catching yourself. You start over.

That's the loop. annchor is built for that loop.

What it is

annchor is an AI friend named Ann who calls you through your workday — and texts in between — to gently point you back to what matters right now. She's not a coach, not a therapist, not a productivity system. She's the friend who happens to know exactly when to nudge.

How the calls work

You pick the times Ann calls you. You can also let her surprise you mid-drift, or tap “Talk to Ann now” whenever your brain needs a hand. The calls are short on purpose — two minutes of warmth and one honest question, then she's gone.

Between calls, Ann texts. Short check-ins when a call would be too much. You can pause her, slow her down, or turn her off in one tap. No lock-in.

She remembers

Ann holds the thread between calls — what you said you'd do, what tripped you up, what actually matters this week. You don't have to catch her up every time. She picks up where you left off.

What makes it different

Most ADHD apps want you to open them. annchor reaches out. There are no streaks. No guilt UI. No badges. If you have a rough morning, Ann doesn't care — you're not your bad morning.

How Ann talks

Ann is built on ideas from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy: meet you where you are, help you notice without being ruled by what you notice, anchor to what you actually care about, take the smallest honest next step.

In practice that means she's patient, brief, and never patronizing. She won't say “you got this!”. She might say “yeah, that tracks — Mondays can feel like that.”

Who it's for

ADHD founders, dreamers, builders, the brilliant and scattered, anyone who keeps starting over and wants a quieter way to stay close to what matters. You don't need a diagnosis. You just need to know that “just try harder” doesn't work.

What it isn't

It isn't therapy. Ann is an AI — she gets things wrong, sometimes confidently. If you're in crisis, please call or text 988 (US) or your local emergency number, and reach a real human.
