How SMS opt-in works.
Annchor sends account and service messages — one-time sign-in codes and the recurring check-in texts each user’s AI coach (Ann) sends during their workday, on a schedule the user controls. Every recipient opted in themselves through the flow documented below, with real screenshots of each step.
Step 1 — The user enters their own phone number
The only way to enroll is self-serve at annchor.ai/signin. We never import lists or enroll anyone on their behalf. Directly under the phone field, before anything is sent, the page states: “By continuing you agree to receive a verification code. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. See terms and privacy.” — with “terms” and “privacy” linking to the pages below.

Step 2 — Double opt-in via one-time code
A 6-digit one-time code is texted to that number and must be typed back into the site. Only the owner of the phone can complete enrollment — without the code, no recurring messages are ever sent.

Step 3 — Explicit consent before any recurring messaging
Before recurring messaging starts, the user must tick an unchecked-by-default checkbox: “I’m 18+ and agree to the terms and privacy policy. By starting the call I consent to receive recurring calls and texts from Ann (sign-in codes, check-ins, reminders). Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to a text to opt out, HELP for help.”

- Consent is not a condition of any purchase.
- No mobile information — including your phone number and your SMS opt-in or consent — will be shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
